Q. Is One Mile Country Club a retirement village?
Definitely not. One Mile Country Club has been designed for people who prefer their home to be their retreat, to enjoy leisure living with all the benefits of a suburban home without the workload. There are no age barriers and all townhouses have been designed with two bedrooms plus study and a two car garage. The leisure facilities incorporated in this unique property are sensational and are for the exclusive use of occupants and their guests.
Q. Will we feel safe living at One Mile Country Club?
A full height security fence will surround the development and electrically controlled security gates can be operated from your townhouse to allow guests to enter. You will also have your own personal security card to use when leaving or coming home.
Q. Are guests welcome?
Absolutely. Family and friends are welcome to visit and enjoy the amenities the club has to offer. We have designed these amenities to provide for children (of all ages). Obviously there are guidelines that need to be adhered to for safety reasons and for the consideration of others.
Q. How will South East Queensland water restrictions affect us?
Your townhouse will have a large rainwater tank below your double garage for your exclusive use. This tank water will be
connected to your bathrooms and laundry, imagine yourself showering in pristine rainwater. Council water will be connected to your
kitchen sink by requirement.
The development houses a wastewater treatment plant which complies with and is licensed by the Environmental Protection
Agency and produces water of A+ quality. This water will augment the irrigation system of the golf course.
Q. Are Pets Welcome
Yes. However as One Mile is a gated community with limited grassed areas, you will be required to be responsible for your pet, its hygiene and the consideration of others.
Q. Will we have access to pay TV and the internet?
Yes. Access to broadband internet and the pay TV providers as well as free to air TV will be available by way of the very latest in Fibre Optic communication technology available.
Q. Can we choose our appliances
We will provide your electric cooktop, oven and rangehood. These will be the finest modern appliances to complement your gourmet kitchen. You are welcome to bring your own dishwasher and laundry appliances however they will need to conform to our water management guidelines. Most modern appliances readily conform.
Q. What facilities are planned at One Mile Country Club
Planned throughout the grounds are 3 heated in-ground swimming pools with sail shades and shaded entertainment areas with BBQ's and amenities. A full size tennis court will be completed in the early part of stage two. There will be children's playgrounds provided adjacent to the BBQ areas and ample walking trail/ bikeways around the outside of the complex and connecting with other municipal facilities. A new clubhouse will complement our golf course. It is planned to have a pro shop, a bistro and recreational areas.
Q. What happens when we choose to sell and move on ?
We can sell your townhouse for you, probably from our database list of people registered for a resale property at a price agreeable to all parties. Alternatively you may choose to sell the townhouse yourself or engage an external agent. We do not impose any deferred management fees, exit fees or the like. We do not profit from your capital gain.
Q. Is there a service fee
Yes. A general service fee is applicable to each townhouse. This is to cover Council rates, building insurance, water and sewerage, garbage collection. It also includes maintenance of all common amenities, including pools, BBQ's etc, electricity for common area lighting and pool heating. The general service fee also has a sinking fund component which provides for the long term maintenance of the buildings and other assets.
